Avaya and HP Enterprise Services announced a multi-year agreement to offer cloud-based unified communications and contact center technology, and management solutions for enterprises. Avaya CTO at the time Brett Shockley said that the commercial agreements made between the two companies "is expected to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars."

At the Avaya Engages event in Silicon Valley in December, Avaya's Joe Manuele VP Global SP/SI, Alliances and Cloud GTM, and HP's David Dowse, Practice Leader for Unified Communications and Collaboration, HP Enterprise Services provided the update detailed in the slide. One thing that became clear when I spoke to both gentlemen is that the target customer for an HP/Avaya Customer Engagement as a Service offer has thousands, not tens or hundreds, of agents.
