Andy Howard is Founder and Managing Director at Howard & Associates. Andy is a highly regarded IP video expert and industry veteran whose goal is to help clients improve communications with video. Andy has helped hundreds of customers, including large corporate, government, and educational customers, architect and implement enterprise-wide IP video deployments.
Prior to founding Howard & Associates, Mr. Howard was a key executive at VBrick Systems, and was instrumental in building it from a startup to the worldwide market leader (as named by Frost & Sullivan in 2011). Mr. Howard was instrumental is setting VBrick's product strategy for many years, and also helped drive VBrick's strategic alliances, positioning it as the "go to" partner in the streaming video space for companies such as Avaya, Microsoft, HP, and LifeSize.
Mr. Howard is a frequent speaker at industry events such as Streaming Media, the Visual Communications Industry Group (VCI-Group) annual conference, Interop, and Enterprise 2.0.
Mr. Howard has been at the forefront of the digital video industry since it began, pioneering the development of the industry's first streaming media caching appliance in the late 1990s, while holding Product Management and Marketing positions at CacheFlow (now Blue Coat) and Novell. Mr. Howard received a bachelor's degree cum laude from Harvard University and an MBA with Distinction from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
