Microsoft Bolsters Skype for Business Online Preview

As our "Success With Skype" blogger Kevin Kieller mentioned in his No Jitter post earlier today, Microsoft is evolving Skype for Business toward a cloud-first model. News of its latest move along that path came just after Kevin's piece went live this morning, with the announcement that Microsoft has expanded its Skype for Business Online previews, both in geographical reach and supported features.

Since July, Microsoft has been offering the Skype for Business services previews to qualified Office 365 enterprise customers in the U.S. As discussed in an official company blog today, it is pushing those boundaries across the various preview offerings, as follows:

In the blog, Rohani and Stark said that more than 4,000 companies already are participating in the Skype for Business services for Office 365 preview. And, they added, that usage is growing at a 20% average weekly.
