CA has agreed to acquire NetQOS for $200 million.

This isn't as earth shattering as the Avaya-Nortel deal, but I think it's significant and something to come back to soon: CA has agreed to acquire NetQOS for $200 million.We believe service assurance is going to be one of the most important issues we'll be covering at VoiceCon and on No Jitter in the years to come. Basically, none of this stuff--UC, CEBP, video, what have you--none of it matters if the networks can't deliver the real-time traffic with acceptable quality.

CA started playing in the voice arena a few years back, and NetQOS seems like a great fit to make CA a player in this emerging enterprise communications service assurance space.
