Chatting with Lou D'Ambrosio

He told me a bit more about his new position and how he's doing.

I had a chance to chat on the phone with Lou D'Ambrosio today, following up on my brief post from last night. Lou signed on as a Board of Director member of Sensus, a private company backed by Goldman Sachs and the Jordan Company, focused on using smart grid technology to serve the energy utility industry. Lou said what he found compelling about the company was its use of high tech/networking, and the intersection of communications technology with environmental trends where Sensus is focused.

On the personal side-he stepped down as Avaya's CEO in 2008 due to health reasons--Lou wanted everyone to know that he's "made some progress," and he's "hopeful and optimistic for continued recovery."
