WebRTC Innovation: See it in Action
WebRTC-based PBXs, WebRTC-enabled medical devices and some Kandy will be on display next month during the WebRTC day at Enterprise Connect.
The WebRTC Conference-in-a-Conference at Enterprise Connect next month in Orlando promises some eyebrow-raising demos of innovative WebRTC solutions, including a look at Unify's Circuit communications hub and Switch Communications' PBX app with its tight integration to Google Apps.
These two demos in particular will show some significant differences in how companies approach the Webification of communications -- with one coming from the visionary people within a traditional telephony provider (Unify) and the other coming from the new wave of Web entrepreneurs (Switch.co).
The WebRTC Innovators session also will feature:
- Medweb, a provider of Web-enabled, secure telemedicine applications that will demonstrate how medical devices can be WebRTC-enabled to support audio and video calls, and, through the WebRTC data channel, transmit patient data and vital information to doctors, nurses, and hospitals. Pete Killcommons, a medical doctor and Medweb president, will do this demonstration himself to show how WebRTC already is influencing the medical community.
- Voxbone, which provides SIP trunking and DID lines in more than 50 countries through a cloud portal and API-enabled platforms, will demonstrate how customers can conveniently reach audio conferencing, contact center, and other services through their Web browsers. The point of this demo is to show the potential in delivering scalable WebRTC-enabled communications experiences with high-quality audio at low cost.
- Genband, which provides real-time software solutions, will demonstrate its Kandy WebRTC-enabled platform-as-a-service offering. A number of companies, primarily carriers, already are developing over-the-top services based on Kandy with the intent of making their services "stickier" with users. Genband's demonstration will illustrate the art of the possible with a WebRTC API platform, showing examples of highly functional and desirable capabilities created with little in the way of coding.
In addition to the WebRTC Innovators' demos, which will take place Monday, March 16, at 1 p.m., the WebRTC Conference-in-a-Conference at Enterprise Connect in Orlando will feature a keynote address and four sessions, as well as a networking reception. Attendees will hear about what real customers are saying about WebRTC-enabled solutions, where WebRTC is showing up in the enterprise, the role of WebRTC in the mobile device world, what the WebRTC ecosystem looks, where the standards are headed.
Brent Kelly has coordinated and will be presenting during the WebRTC Conference-in-a-Conference taking place during Enterprise Connect on Monday, March 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Register with code NJSPEAKER to save $300 on conference passes.
