Nortel Reorg Deadline Extended to September

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court has granted Nortel an extension of the deadline for filing a plan of reorganization, setting a new deadline of September 11.

Nortel's April 30 petition to the court, seeking the extension, cited the "extraordinary complexity and breadth of Nortel's global business model" as the major reason why the company needed more time to come up with a plan of reorganization.
