I'm with Skype's PR firm in NYC and wanted to correct some of the mistaken statements you have made in your article about Skype's expansion into the business market.
You wrote, "Although there are more than 400 million registered Skype users across the globe, the service has made little or no profit, because most users pay no fee."
In 2008, Skype actually generated $551 million in revenue and >$100M in profits. In fact, the company has been profitable for eight consecutive quarters.
I'd appreciate it if you would update your post accordingly to reflect the actual facts and stop speculating incorrectly about Skype's already proven business model.

Duly noted. However, I do have to point out that Allan said little or no profit. So is $100 million a lot of profit? Depends on how you look at it.
