I just have to vent one last thing about the whole Nortel situation. Nortel's in a world of hurt right now, and everybody knows it. But let's have a little perspective. Articles like this one talk about Nortel with reference to its tech-boom glory days. Well, OK, fair enough, but you know what? For a long time now, nothing's been like it was in the tech-boom glory days--my daughter doesn't endearingly mispronounce words any more, like she did back then, either. Nortel's situation is what it is, and they'll survive or they won't. But if you only judged Cisco against the days when their market cap exceeded GE's, Cisco ain't doing so hot, either. It's pointless to use a bubble as a point of comparison.
