Dustin Donaldson is a unified communications consultant for Strategic Products and Services (SPS). His focus is designing best-of-breed UC solutions for small, medium, and large enterprises. His persistent goal is to leverage the best aspects of multivendor communication environments into seamless, reliable UC solutions. These solutions embrace video, voice, presence/instant messaging, unified messaging, and mobility.
Prior to his role at SPS, Donaldson held a variety of consulting, marketing, and engineering positions at Avaya, where he worked for 21 years. Most recently, Donaldson had been a senior consultant, where his focuses were on supporting the Avaya sales force as an expert on UC solutions, and serving as a liaison between Avaya and Avaya's major user groups. He continued to be a frequent speaker at various user group meeting, including International Avaya Users Group, and publishes recurring UC articles.
Donaldson's professional career has been dedicated to messaging, speech recognition, and applications that enable communications. For the past 28 years, he has worked with communications systems as they evolved from proprietary hardware and operating systems to the open, speech-enabled, application-based systems they are today.
He holds three U.S. patents for inventions within the scope of UC, communication applications, and network communication methods.
